CLIL for Primary Edition 3

A practical foundation 4-week, 15-hour, online course on CLIL for Primary.

 

Participants will have the opportunity to learn all about Content and Language Integrated Learning, from the basic principles to various practical ways to engage learners in the CLIL multi-level classroom. Participants will also explore techniques for inclusion and for the development of skills, as well as work collaboratively exchanging ideas and experiences. 

 

As a participant, you will familiarise yourself with:
  • Understanding and discovering What CLIL is all about.
  • Implementing CLIL in a meaningful engaging way in the classroom.
  • Helping students develop Higher Order Thinking Skills in a practical way.
  • Adapting CLIL course materials to the multi-level classroom.
  • The application of Scaffolding as a way of inclusion in the multi-level classroom.
  • Dynamic Lesson Planning.
  • Formative assessment in CLIL.

    Develop communicative skills through Trinity ISE

    From Monday, 14th November to Monday, 12th December, 2022 
    This free 4 week asynchronous
    course will allow you to explore practical, communicative activities for the
    ISE exam preparation. We will look into how to improve your students’s 4
    skills, how to apply techniques in class, as well as learn how the exam works.
    The content is for ISE foundation, ISE I, II and III. 
     

    To apply for a place on this course you must be highly motivated and ideally have at least C1 CEFR level. Just click on the course title, follow the instructions and  confirmation will be sent on Friday, 17th January. Numbers are limited to 40 participants, so please do NOT request a place if you think you may not have enough free time. NB: ONE course per registered user!

    A practical 4-week, 15-hour online course, to familiarise participants with:

    • What Project-based Learning (PBL) is, and what elements make up a real project.
    • To understand how the input materials can be adapted to the students’ needs when elaborating projects. 
    • To understand student-centred teaching skills and how to scaffold students’ activities.
    • To apply classroom management skills in the elaboration of projects.
    • To leave the sessions with practical ideas they can implement in their everyday teaching: materials, online resources, and ideas/techniques for student-student interaction.
