One book on many teachers' resource shelves is Penny Ur's 'Discussions that work - task based fluency practice' (CUP) that was released in the early 80s.
Following her plenary in a language conference in Japan, she gave an interview where she talked about the 'Aha moment' and also gave her thoughts on learning. Penny also feels that "a teacher is a teacher, is a teacher". To see what she means by this, watch the video.
