'Quest for Best: GESE Reflecting on Functional Language’

This 15 day, 15-hour course aims to help the reflective practitioner understand the importance of using functional language appropriately and to:
1. encourage the participant to reflect on what a language function is, how language functions compare to grammar, and how learners can express different language functions in English.
2. encourage participants to reflect on the functional requirements of Trinity College London's English language examinations, and reflect on ways that teachers can integrate functional language into their daily teaching practice.
'Quest for Best: GESE Elementary grades 4, 5, 6’

A short 15-hour, mini online course over 15 days, to help teachers who are preparing candidates for Trinity College London's GESE Elementary level, grades 4, 5 and 6, with special attention given to the 'Topic Phase ' and the Conversation Phase'. The course has challenging and inspiring resources with tasks to encourage a 'reflective approach'. Course participants can progress through much of the course at their own pace, make contributions to discussion forums, exchange ideas, and learn from colleagues.
Please note: Numbers are limited to 60 participants/course.
Course participants will be expected to participate actively. A certificate of Attendance will be issued to those who successfully complete a course.
