A 3 week, 15 hour, online course over four weekends. The overall aims of this course are to look at some of the issues that students and teachers often face when moving from a B2 level to C1. The course will:
- examine the differences between these levels
- focus on language that is relevant and appropriate at C1 level
- reflect on listening and the difficulties that students may encounter and how to overcome them
- discuss ways to break through the ‘intermediate plateau’.
This 15-hour course is officially recognised by the 'Department d'Educació de Catalunya' (GTAF). ("Esta actividad está reconocida por el 'Departament d'Educació' como formación permanente del profesorado"- GTAF).
Teachers who are qualified English language teachers in Spain (i.e. 'docentes'), and are registered with their local education authority can request this course here on Excellence in Education by clicking on the blue hyperlinked title and completing the course enrolment form. Teachers should be highly motivated and ideally have C1 CEFR level. Confirmation will be sent on Friday, 21st February. Numbers are limited to 40 participants, so please do NOT request a place if you think you may not have enough free time.
Please note: you may only participate in ONE course! If you do request more than one course, you MUST state your first choice on the course enrolment form in the first box entitled 'Comment'. This can avoid assigning you on a course of your second choice. Places are offered on a first come- first served basis.
