### Quest for Best: Focus on Effective Oral Communication at B2.1; B2.2; and B2.3 (CEFR)

Start date: Monday, 6th July to Sunday, 26th July
FULL: please do NOT request. It will be offered again

A 3-week, 15-hour, online course, to help teachers develop and improve their learners' English language oral skills at B2 level. Special attention is given to being able to demonstrate the learner's ability to talk about a topic that they feel passionate about, initiate a discussion and be able to take control over and maintain the interaction of a conversation. Much of the course can be done at your own pace, although there are some group activities that are best done within the same time frame. A Certificate of Attendance will be issued to those who successfully complete the course.

An ‘independent user’ at B2.3 can:

• understand the main ideas of complex language on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation
• interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party
• can produce clear, detailed discourse on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

To apply for a place on one of these courses you must be highly motivated and ideally have at least C1 CEFR level. Just click on the course title, follow the instructions and confirmation will be sent on Sunday, 5th July, 2020. Numbers are limited to 40 participants, so please do NOT request a place if you think you may not have enough time.

Please note: you may only participate in ONE course! If you do request more than one course, you MUST state your first choice on the application form in the first box that says 'Comment' to avoid being placed on a course of your second choice.
